ABI Reviewing Law Enforcement-Involved Shooting

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the shooting death of a man in Tallassee.

District Attorney Randall Houston tells the Montgomery Advertiser that the shooting involved law enforcement but did not know if an officer fired shots. Houston says initial reports are that the man shot himself.

Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control Board spokesman Dean Argo says an agent with the board was involved.

The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at a Marathon gas station in Tallassee, where local police and state investigators were attempting to apprehend the man.
