Former Stanhope Elmore Teacher Indicted
A former high school coach accused of raping a 17-year old student has been indicted by an Elmore County grand jury.
Jeffrey Stanton is charged with on count of a Sex Act with a Student.
Stanton turned himself into police in February after a student claimed he raped her in his classroom.
Stanton has denied the allegations.
He was fired from Stanhope Elmore High School in March.
His arraignment is set for May 13th.
