Searching For Answers In Bullock Co. Murder Three Years Later

 

Today marks three years since 30-year-old Richard Roten was murdered. 

 

Investigators say someone with the forestry department found Roten’s burnt up pickup truck on County Road 50. 

 

Officials say an autopsy revealed Rotten was shot and killed and then his truck was ignited to burn evidence. 

 

Leads have run out, even though the investigators are still looking over the case file and working with Alabama Bureau of Investigation. 

 

 

Bullock County Sheriff Raymond Rodgers said, “My heart goes out to the family and I don’t want the family to think that we are not doing anything or just watching this case. And this is a loved one, this is someone’s child. And I know that they love their child and I want to solve this case. Yeah I do. It worries me everyday.”
