Ala. Man Killed in Deputy-Involved Shooting

Authorities in southeastern Alabama say a man has died after being shot by a sheriff’s deputy who was trying to take him into custody.
Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes tells the Dothan Eagle (http://bit.ly/RAZp7U ) 39-year-old Michael Clayton McNeil was involved in a standoff with deputies in Ashford Monday and emerged from his house with a loaded gun that he pointed at deputies.
Authorities say they were outside McNeil’s home trying to serve a warrant linked to a domestic violence incident from Sunday night.
Hughes says deputies felt they were in imminent danger and had to act.
