Trial on Alabama’s New Controversial Abortion Law Set to Begin

A trial on Alabama’s new controversial abortion law is about to get underway.
The 2013 law requires doctors have approval to admit patients to nearby hospitals.
Clinics in Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham say that will be forced to close, because they often use traveling doctors who can’t get admitting priviliges.
Law supporters say it will help make getting an abortion safer for a woman.
Opponents say it’s an unnecessary attempt to restrict women’s access to abortions.
