Trucks Collide, Catch Fire on Ala. Interstate

State troopers say a hazmat team and the U.S. Coast Guard are responding to a fatal tractor trailer crash and fire on Interstate 65.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett says the crash in the northbound lanes Thursday afternoon involved two trucks, which both caught fire after impact. Jarrett says the crash happened on a high-rise bridge in the Mobile area and one person has died in the crash. The person’s identity hasn’t been released.

Authorities say they’re unsure of what the trucks were carrying and traffic from the interstate is being rerouted at Exit 19.
