Hokes Bluff Mayor, Gary Reeves, Dies in Birmingham

Authorities say the mayor of a city in eastern Alabama has died.

Etowah County Coroner Michael Gladden says Hokes Bluff Mayor Gary Reeves died Monday morning at the University of Alabama medical center in Birmingham.

Deputy Coroner Michael Head tells Al.com that reeves died of congestive heart failure.

Reeves was serving a second term.
