Georgia Man Dead After Getting Caught in a Rip Current

Authorities say a Georgia man is dead after getting caught in rough surf on the Alabama coast.
Orange Beach marine police say 36-year-old Tywan Barnes of Atlanta got caught in a rip current Wednesday afternoon.
His body was found near the Perdido Beach Resort, where he first swam out.
Barnes was originally from Mobile.
The National Weather Service says there’s a high risk of strong rip currents that can quickly overcome swimmers.
Lifeguards are warning people to stay out of the water until the currents ease.
