One-on-One with Jess Meuse after American Idol

Jess Meuse is back in Alabama to sit down with us for an Exclusive interview to talk about her American Idol experience.
Meuse made it to the top 4 in this year’s competition. She is from Slapout in Elmore County and had captured the hearts of millions of fans nationwide with her performances on the show each week.
She told news anchor Glenn Halbrooks that there was nothing between her and judge Jennifer Lopez. Many of Jess’s fans in our area noticed that Lopez often stared at Jess when she was on stage. Jess said she stopped looking at the judges when she sang to concentrate on the fans.
Jess is planning her music career. She will be on the American Idol Live tour this summer, which will stop in Birmingham on July 26 for a concert at the BJCC. She says she may have to move away from Alabama to reach her goals — possibly going to Nashville.
She wants to say “thank you” one million times for all the fans for their support. The week that Jess was eliminated from the competition, people in Slapout held a parade for her.Â
