Montgomery Co. Fishing Rodeo Draws Hundreds

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosted its 13th annual fishing rodeo Saturday.

Hundreds of kids showed up for the event with rods, reels, and bait, all hoping for an opportunity to catch their own catfish dinner.
To increase with their chances, organizers helped out, releasing 2,200 pounds of catfish into the pond.

County officials say the rodeo is a great way to get kids off the couch and into the outdoors. The Sheriff’s Office puts on the event every year to help give the kids a chance to meet Montgomery County Sheriffs deputies.
