Social Media Reacts to Police Chief Murphy Retiring

There are many mixed emotions when it comes to the topic of Chief Kevin Murphy having to retire early.
We asked our facebook fans what they thought about the sudden announcement and what they wanted in a new chief.
Judy Jones Moorhouse says, “A leader. Not one who uses his power to rule! Never liked Murphy from the beginning!”
Dan Taylor says, “Chief Murphy is a man of integrity that is a true leader. Leaders have to lead not follow. Therefore, not everyone is going to agree with him but a majority do.”
Someone has even formed a facebook page called “DRAFT Kevin Murphy for Mayor of Montgomery” stating that Chief Murphy is a “man of integrity, a characteristic needed in a Montgomery mayor- right now.”
