Teen Arrested in Ala. Woman’s Shooting Death

County sheriff’s officials say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of a 38-year-old woman.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says authorities found Kelena Annette Hicks in the living room of her home Tuesday and she was pronounced dead at the Huntsville Hospital.

Authorities say the teen is being held in an Anniston detention center and details on the circumstances that led to the shooting weren’t immediately available.

The Associated Press typically doesn’t identify juvenile crime suspects.
