Tornado Damages Troy Shopping Center

A strong line of storms passed through the city of Troy late Thursday night and produced what has been confirmed as a tornado that caused significant damage to the Walmart shopping center in Troy. The Walmart store suffered damage along with the Hibbett Sports that is located in front of Walmart. The storm also caused an 18-wheeler to be overturned. Troy officials have confirmed that five people were injured during the storm. The National Weather Service sent a team to confirm that it was a tornado that hit.
