“Stuff the Bus” a Big Success for School Students Needing Supplies

All of us at Alabama News Network would like to thank everyone who helped with our “Stuff the Bus” drive to collect school supplies for students in need.
Last Friday and Saturday, buses from Montgomery Public Schools were parked outside the four Walmart Supercenters located in the city. Shoppers who donated school supplies helped stuff the buses with pencils, notebook paper, glue and other items that students will use this upcoming school year.
Volunteers from Kidz Showing Kindness and the Montgomery Public Schools Transportation Department donated several hours unloading those buses. At last check, about 3,000 items had been donated.
Students return to class in Montgomery Public Schools on Thursday. No doubt, they also extend their thanks for these generous contributions to their education.
