Man Convicted of Capital Murder in 2013 Montgomery Shooting Death

Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey says that 28-year-old Enrico Cornley was found guilty by a jury of the capital murder of 19-year-old Roy Kendrick Buskey this afternoon.  Buskey’s murder was the 45th of homicide of 2013.

Bailey says on November 26, 2013, Cornley drove to the victim’s home and shot him in the chest after an argument. Bailey says Cornley accusing Buskey of having a cell phone that allegedly belonged to a female who they both had dated.

After the verdict, Cornley was sentenced to life without parole by Judge Greg Griffin.

“This case is yet another example of a violent criminal who murdered a totally innocent person over something completely stupid,” Bailey said.

“The victim in this case had a great job and was in college at the time he was murdered.  Now he is dead and Cornley will die in prison.  In a matter of seconds two families were destroyed.  This violence that has plagued our city must stop,” Bailey said.
