AU and Bama Fans Talk About Big Match Ups

Alabama and Auburn fans get ready for their first SEC match up.

Alabama fell last year to Ole Miss. But fans say it won’t happen this year.

“Most definitely Nick Saban never let anybody beat him two times in a row. We’re always going to pull off a win,” said Neal Waller.

Some fans say being at home will be an advantage.

“I think we owe them something from last year. It was a tough game. I think being at home at Bryant Denny is going to make a difference. I foresee their running game will be strong,” said Homer Brown.

But not everyone is so confident, especially with Alabama’s quarterback situation.

“I hope they win. I’m a little nervous about it. Ole Miss looks good. They got a pretty good quarterback and not so sure about ours yet,” said James Faulkner.

As for Auburn, as they head to Death Valley to face LSU, fans are hoping their Tigers will be able to shake off last week’s disappointing game with Jacksonville State.

“They struggled in last week’s game. They pulled it off in over time, but I think they thought coming into that game it wasn’t going to be a challenge. But coming into LSU, they are going to have to have everything 100 percent. I’s dotted, T’s crossed. Come out highly motivated,” said Marcia Spear.

Fans say they are confident the team can turn it around and pull off a win.

“It’s going to be a tough game. But it’s going to be fine. I think they’ve worked on what they needed to work on. I think the big thing is getting back to basics and running the football,” said Tommy Lee.
