Auburn Baseball Coach Sunny Galloway Protests Firing

Sunny Golloway is protesting his firing as Auburn’s baseball coach.
Golloway’s attorney, John Saxon, released a statement Monday calling the dismissal “outrageous.” Saxon says legal action is possible unless Auburn makes a severance offer to compensate Golloway.
Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs announced Golloway’s dismissal in a short statement on Sunday, saying the coach was being fired after two seasons. Jacobs says Golloway is being fired “with cause,” but the statement doesn’t elaborate.
Saxon says Golloway has done nothing wrong. He says any mistakes were made by others and are being used in a conspiracy to make Golloway the victim.
Golloway led Auburn to NCAA postseason play for the first time in five years last season. Saxon says he has four years left on his contract with Auburn.
