New Faces to Serve on Montgomery City Council

There will be some new faces on the Montgomery City Council, after two city councilmen lost their bids for re-election.

District 5 representative CC Calhoun lost his relection bid to William Green.  In the unofficial results, Green had 51% of the vote to Calhoun’s 49%.

District 6 will also have a new member.  Fred Bell unseated Jon Dow, with 60% of the votes to Dow’s  40%.

David Burkette was the only incumbent to win the runoff.  He took home 68% of the votes over William Boyd’s 32%.

District 2 will also have a new representative, after incumbent Charles Smith decided not to run again.  Brantley Lyons easily won over Iam Maloy, with 63% of the votes to Maloy’s 37%. 

The new members will be sworn in November 10th.
