Federal Judge Rules on Lethal Injection Drug Use
A federal judge says Alabama cannot use a large dose of a single drug to execute inmates.
This comes after five inmates challenged the state’s three drug lethal injection procedure. The Attorney General’s office said another option would be using a single dose of the drug midazolam.Â
The state hoped to dismiss the lawsuits, but the judge has ordered all 5 to be combined.Â
