It’s a night that at one time seemed like a galaxy far, far away.
But finally the new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie is here and fans were lined up and ready for it.

“Whenever the tickets first went on sale I was on line like crazy trying to find the nearest theater to come see it. I’ve been excited for the last decade for this movie,” said Amber Davis.

Davis even had a special dress to wear for the big event.

“This is RTD2…. A droid,” said Davis showing off her dress.

We met a little bit of everything in the crowd from young Princess Leia to a little older Princess Leias.
These were some avid Star Wars fans.

“On a scale from 1 to 10, I’d probably say I’m a 10. I’m pretty deep into Star Wars. I got so many Star Wars Legos from when I was little. It is one of those things that I wish people could grow up on nowadays because so many people don’t know about Star Wars,” said Trae Hendrix.

“I’d say I am quite a major fan of Star Wars. More than I care to admit,” said Jake Moore.

The Wallace family are big fans as well and they all came out together to see the new movie.

“I saw the original back in 1977 when I was 14 years old. We’ve always been big Star Wars fans,” said Sam Wallace.

As for this movie, they have high hopes for it.

“We were very excited that JJ Abrams was going to direct this because we like some of the other things he has done: Mission Impossible 3, Star Trek Reboot, so we feel like it’s in good hands,” said Wallace.
