Rudy Giuliani to Speak at Faulkner University Benefit Dinner
Faulkner University has announced that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will be the speaker at the university’s annual benefit dinner.
“Rudy Giuliani is a giant in the landscape of American politics, and we are extremely excited to have him here in Montgomery,” Faulkner University President Mike Williams said. “We are confident that those who attend the benefit dinner will hear an incredibly memorable speech from Mr. Giuliani.”
This year’s dinner will be hosted at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center on October 6. Faulkner has brought renowned politicians, journalists, athletes, coaches, comedians and astronauts to speak in Montgomery over the years.
Proceeds from the dinner go to support the university, and student scholarships in particular.
Giuliani was named TIME magazine’s Person of the Year, was given an honorary knighthood by the Queen of England and was awarded the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award. He was mayor during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that brought down the World Trade Center. Giuliani later ran for the Republican nomination for President.
