12140048_10156550243040618_3313347672373268730_oIt was a big night for local singer-songwriter Donica Knight.
The Millbrook native released her latest album with a special tribute to an American hero.
The country rock star held a party at Rock Bottom American Pub Thursday night.
“Can’t Buy a Southern Girl” is the name of the album.
There is a special tribute to Benghazi attack hero Kris “Tanto” Paronto.

“It’s humbling and a lot of emotions. And people who could see me, I kinda faded off a little bit. That just reminds me of what took place that night. I couldn’t be prouder of Donica. And her voice live is amazing,” said Paronto.
Donica says there is a lot of other musical influences in there as well.

“It encompasses everything and along with the East Memphis blues that has the horns and saxophone in it. These loud drums on stomp,” said Donica.
You can get Donica’s album now on iTunes.
She will start a radio tour April 18th. She’ll start here in Alabama then go to Mississippi, Florida, Georgia and New York City.
