“March Madness” Lives Up to its Name

It was a packed night at Baumhower’s Friday night, many people with one eye on the basketball games.

“Yes, been watching the games the last couple of days there have been a lot of upsets,” said David McDavid.

One of the biggest upsets came after #2 Michigan State lost to #15 Middle Tennessee.

While many people say their brackets have seen better days, we found one fan who actually had Michigan State losing.

“Anything Michigan State, I am the opposite of it , for sure,” said Mari Cottrell. “It’s not normal how I filled it out. I picked a bunch of teams that I figured would lose and now they are winning,” said Cottrell.

So who will win it all??

“I have the Wildcats winning. They’ve done it for me in the past and I hope they can do it for me again,” said Kentucky fan Jason Katz.

“I think Kansas, even though I’m a Duke fan–go Blue Devils– but I think Kansas is going to take it all,” said Vincent Wright.

“If you look at it, I think Virginia has a shot, North Carolina with some of the upsets. It just depends on who can get hot at the right time,” said McDavid.

Its anyone’s guess… And it maybe a good thing if you take your bracket hopes all in stride.

“March Madness is a great thing for everybody to enjoy together and for everybody to come together and have some fun with… I don’t take it too serious,” said Katz.
