Woman Arrested in Connection with Helping Fugitive; After She Was Stabbed and Shot
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in Montgomery, Alabama, today arrested Kisha Johnson, the ex-girlfriend of Raymond Pruitt, who was the subject of a recent multi-state manhunt ending in his arrest on Friday in Troy, Alabama.
Ironically, Pruitt’s attack on Johnson on April 5 where he allegedly stabbed her and shot at her with her own pistol was the catalyst for the manhunt. This attack, however, did not deter Johnson from helping the crime-spree bandit. During the fugitive investigation to locate Pruitt, it was determined that Johnson rendered assistance to him by giving him money and communicating with him while knowing he was a fugitive from the law.
Her assistance enabled Pruitt to continue his crime spree, which resulted in five armed robberies in Alabama and the robbery and murder of a store clerk in Florida.
Johnson was arrested at her residence in Montgomery and charged with felony hindering prosecution and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $15,000 bond.
