Victim Identified in Kiwanis Street Shooting
The Montgomery Police Department has initiated a homicide investigation following the shooting death Wednesday, May 4, of 22-year-old Demetrius Kelly of Montgomery.
MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 100 block Kiwanis Street at about 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report of shots fired. There, they located Kelly who sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting are under investigation, and no arrests have been made. At this point in the investigation, no additional information is available for release.
