Two dead in Halloween shooting in Selma
SELMA, Ala. (WAKA) – From the West Alabama Newsroom, Selma police are investigating a double homicide that happened Halloween morning.
Police say it happened on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at around 8:02 a.m., at Chanticleer Apartments, located at 1200 Woodrow Avenue in Selma, Alabama.
Selma police say when officers arrived that the scene, they found a vehicle with a gunshot victim inside. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Officers learned that another victims had also been taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the hospital. So far, their names have not been released.
Selma officers began their investigation, and collected evidence, including surveillance footage in the surrounding area.
