The Bullock County Humane Society was called into the rescue.
And then Dr. Jessica Loch at Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital in Montgomery decided to help her.
She did surgery on her immediately to remove a piece of twine that was embedded around her neck.

“The skin and the muscle and all the tissue had grown on top of that string. Basically, it was like a foreign object inside of her neck,” said Loch.
Soon after seeing “Tulip” on social media, the Welch family adopted her and she seems to being doing just fine in her new home.

“My husband, Chris, came by and he loved on her and she loved him back and we couldn’t separate after that,” said Tracy Welch.

The family changed the dog’s name to “Tallulah Belle.”
Much of the surgery was paid for by the “Wags for Wishes” fundraiser for Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital, which was held last month.
The Bullock County Humane Society had received nearly 65-hundred dollars from it and used a lot of it on “Tulip’s” surgery.
They can always use your help in donations to help them take care of more animals like “Tulip” and improve their facility.
