CDC: Alabama and other Southern States lax on smoking laws

CDC Recommends $50-Million+ in stop smoking spending.

287595LOGOA new report from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention  (CDC) finds there are fewer second-hand smoke laws and regulations in the Southern States, including Alabama, than in the rest of the nation. And the report totals the cost of that 2nd hand smoke.

For Alabama that cost is about a Billion Dollars.

Another finding: The CDC recommends Alabama spend $57-Million  a year on quit-smoking programs, but the state actually spends just $3.4 Million.
