Auburn at the USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials Day 4 Recap

OMAHA, Neb. (auburntigers.com)– There were just three prelims events on the schedule on Wednesday morning at the USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Neb. Auburn had a representative swim in each of the men’s 100-meter freestyle, the women’s 200-meter butterfly and the men’s 200-meter breaststroke.

Kyle Darmody (50.05/30th), Zach Apple (50.18/35th) and Colin Bone (50.68/56th) each swam in the 100 free while Michael Duderstadt (2:16.72/28th), Tommy Brewer (2:20.40/76th) and Bryar Long (2:22.41/88th) each swam the 200m breaststroke.

Bailey Nero tied for 35th in the 200m butterfly (2:15.06).

Thursday prelims will include the men’s 200-meter backstroke (David Crossland), the women’s 200-meter breaststroke (Micah Lawrence, Annie Lazor) and the men’s 200-meter IM (Duderstadt). All prelims can be seen live on the NBC Sports Extra App and all finals sessions can be seen on NBC. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. CT and finals at 7 p.m.
