A crash in Perry County left a man dead and three other people injured.

Al.com reports that Johnny Lewis of Newbern was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday. The crash happened on Alabama 61, about a mile north of Uniontown.

A 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Lewis collided with a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by 28-year-old Francesca Anita Eldridge of Helena.

State troopers say a preliminary investigation suggests alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.

Eldridge and two passengers in her vehicle were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
