City of Troy Hosts Brown Bag on the Square
Dozens of people came out to Troy’s Brown Bag on the Square Thursday afternoon.
The event offers a free lunch to Troy residents each month during the summer. It also features local entertainment and door prizes for people attending. This month’s brown bag event was held inside at “The Studio” in downtown Troy due to heat concerns. Mayor Jason Reeves says the event is a great time for residents to fellowship with each other.
“It gives people an opportunity just to get out, visit, do something different and come into the downtown area so we enjoy promoting that and think it’s a great part of what makes small town life in Troy so special,” says Mayor Jason Reeves.
The city’s next Brown Bag on the Square helps kick off Troy University’s football season featuring the team’s coaches and area high school coaches. It is scheduled for August 18th at noon.
