Troy Man Arrested and Charged with Making Terrorist Threats to Police Officer
A Troy man was arrested and charged July 13, 2016, with making terrorist threats against a police officer.
Javon Keontre Pryor, 20, was arrested during a court hearing on a prior assault first-degree charge.
“He posted some comments on social media on the heels of the police shootings in Dallas, Texas,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “He called out several police officers in a post, one of those officer saw it and sent it to me. We don’t take any of that lightly.”
Bond on terrorist threat charge was set at $50,000 and because of the nature of this charge, the judge suspended Pryor’s bond on the assault charge pending a revocation hearing. He has been in the Pike County Jail since July 13.
Pryor was charged with assault first degree in the July 2014 shooting that blinded then 17-year- old Jacquerean Marshall of Troy. The incident took place in the 100 block of Aster Avenue.
Pryor also has been charged with attempted murder in a December 2015 incident in which shots were fired into a vehicle on Gibbs Street.
