Selma Woman Survives Multiple Bites From Poisonous Snake

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

A Selma woman is glad to be alive — after being bitten several times by a poisonous snake.

Arabella Sheehan of Selma is counting her blessings.

She says less than a week ago she was bitten three times by a Copperhead snake while walking under her carport.

Sheehan says her husband heard her scream and came running.

She says he was able to catch the snake and identify what kind it was.

“He came back in and said its a Copperhead snake. We’re going to the emergency room, said Sheehan.

“And so then I was really nervous, because I knew that I had been bitten by a poisonous snake.”

Health officials say — if someone is bitten by a poisonous snake — remember two things: Don’t panic — and get to the hospital.
