Union Springs Boutique Owner Collects Backpack Donations
A Union Springs hair boutique owner is doing her part to help out kids heading back to school.
Courtney Kennebrew of Exquisite Coiffures has collected 50 backpacks for kids in need. She hopes to distribute the backpacks this weekend. Kennebrew says even though it’s the start of the tax free weekend, this helps parents scratch one less thing off their lists. People donating say it’s their way of making sure each child has the necessary supplies to start the school year.
“There are a lot of deserving kids in our community and some of those are less fortunate, so this drive allows them to equal opportunity,” says donator Charity Glaze.
Kennebrew plans to distribute the backpacks and supplies to Union Springs parents, Saturday, August 6th at her boutique starting at 9 am.
