Montgomery Superintendent Welcomes Students Back to School
Montgomery Public Schools superintendent Margaret Allen welcomed students back to school at TS Morris Elementary on Wednesday.
Allen gave students high five and hugs to the teachers and parents while encouraging them to have a successful school year. She also handed out last minute school supplies to some students. Allen said it’s so important to make sure students, parents and teachers start off the school year the right way.
“Welcoming them back encouraging them on this very first day of school but not just the kids..the parents..the teachers everyone needs encouragement to get in there and make it great. The first thing that you do in a school day sets the tone for the rest of the school day..so I’m thinking that the first thing that you do on the first day of school can set the tone for the rest of the school year,” she said.
