Sewage Problems in Uniontown Spark City Hall Protest

Continuing sewage problems in Uniontown sparks a protest at City Hall and demands that city leaders do something to fix the problem once and for all.

Protestors waved signs — and chanted their demands. They say the city still has major sewage problems that have some people concerned for their health. They want the city to build a sewage treatment plant — rather than keep using the spray field treatment method.

“City officials are not listening. So, how do you get them to listen? Make a noise,” said Ben Eaton with Black Belt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice.

“This is our way of making a noise.”
