Champion Sports Trainers Warn of High School Athletic Injuries
High school football kicks off soon. But before kids hit the field, there are a few reminders that parents need to know.
Trainers say parents should pay close attention to signs of concussions. Some signs include, dizziness, sensitivity to light, and unable to pay attention.
Champion sports medicine specialists say proper nutrition plays a big part in preventing heat exhaustion. Right now, they offer their services on the sidelines of area high schools on game nights in the event an injury happens.
“Many times we see kids get up, go to school, they don’t eat breakfast, they half-way eat lunch then they go to football practice and by then it’s too late,” says Chuck Ash of Champion Sports Medicine
Reports from head case -dot-com show that forty-seven percent of all reported sports-related concussions happen with high school football.
