Area Coaches Greet Troy Community
Dozens of people attended Troy’s “Brown Bag on the Square” Thursday afternoon.
The event kicked off football season in the area. It’s also the last “Brown Bag” of the summer. Coaches Charles Henderson, Pike Liberal Arts, and Troy University’s football team welcomed fans at the event. Troy University’s football season starts September 3rd. Coordinators of the event say it’s very important for these coaches to have the community’s support at the start of the season…
“At this time they’re trying to get their players fired up. If the coaches are fired up and feel the support of the community, therefore it transfers to the football players and they get even more excited,” says Leigh Anne Harrell Windham.
Charles Henderson’s football season starts Friday, August 18th and Pike Liberal Arts season starts August 26th.
