Maxwell Air Force Base Class 1608 Gives Back

Over 200-hundred cadets from Maxwell Air Force base spent saturday morning serving at area schools.

The cadets are part of Class 1608 at the base. They participated in community service projects at 6 locations. Many of the cadets helped at a Montgomery Arboretum, trimming vines and cutting down trees. Cadets say say it’s important for the community to know that they enjoy giving back to others.

“Maybe the local community doesn’t know what the military does on base so it’s goo to show an aspect of us that we really care about the community and we’re more involved than just the base activities,” says Cadet Jeremy Starkey.

Class 1608 is also accepting donations for underprivileged youth right now for school. To find out more information visit www.1608project.com
