Tigerettes 2016-17 hoops schedule revealed
TUSKEGEE, Ala. (goldentigersports.com) — The Tuskegee University women’s basketball team released their schedule for the upcoming season on Wednesday afternoon, featuring 11 home contests.
After two exhibition contests against UAB and LaGrange, the Tigerettes open the regular season at home in the Regional Challenge against North Alabama on November 11. They return to action the next day against Alabama-Huntsville, all hosting four games in two days in Chappie James Arena.
The Tigerettes hit the road for a pair of games (November 15 and 18) against Montevallo and West Georgia, before returning home to face Lynn on November 22.
The team hits the road over the Thanksgiving break, traveling to West Texas A&M for a two-game holiday tournament, and stay on the road for three more games – Georgia College (November 30), Auburn Montgomery (December 2) and Clark Atlanta (December 14).
Following the game in Atlanta, Tuskegee will be off for 18 days before facing Claflin on January 2 that begins a four-game home stand that includes Benedict (January 4), Paine (January 9) and Spring Hill (January 12).
The team then hits the road for games beginning January 14 against Kentucky State, before facing Central State just two days later in Ohio. The team concludes the four-game road swing at Lane on January 21, before facing LeMoyne-Owen January 23 in Memphis.
Tuskegee finishes off the year with a pair of games against Albany State and Fort Valley State, playing at home on January 28 and 30 and on the road February 11 and 13. In the middle of those four games is a contest at home against Auburn Montgomery on February 7, before closing out the regular season at home against Miles on February 20.
