Friends and family of a Montgomery man shot and killed held a memorial walk Monday evening.
The Montgomery Police Department says 19-year-old Zhivago Hines was shot Saturday Sept. 24, around 11 p.m. The shooting happened in the 600 block of Clinton Street. Hines was taken to a local hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
Civil Rights Activist Ja’mel Brown says they are calling for a stop to black on black crime.
“I just seen him not too long ago in the barber shop,” he explained, “we go to the same barber shop and he’s a young man that didn’t bother nobody, and he just wanted to succeed for himself, his child, his family, his friends.”
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime stoppers at (334) 215-STOP.
