Tuskegee’s Bradford earns slot at NCAA’s Women’s Coaches Academy
INDIANAPOLIS (goldentigersports.com) — Tuskegee University assistant women’s basketball coach Chatil Bradford has been selected to the NCAA Women Coaches Academy taking place in Denver beginning November 30.
The Alliance of Women Coaches accepted applications the first week of September for the Academy, with 10 opportunities available for coaches.
The NCAA Women Coaches Academy provides educational resources and training for coaches at all levels to assist them in being more efficient, productive, supported and successful. The 4-day Academy is designed for women coaches who are ready and willing to increase their individual effectiveness by learning advanced skills and strategies that directly affect their personal and team success. Participants will focus on non-sport specific concepts beyond the X’s and O’s in an environment that fosters inclusion across the sport community.
The Office of Inclusion is providing the cost of the tuition, membership for one year in the Alliance of Women Coaches and a percentage of the airfare. The participants were selected by the Alliance of Women Coaches to balance the class by sport, division, position and experience level.
