Becky Bracke Becomes First Woman Ever Elected Opp Mayor

Becky Bracke has made history in Opp. She is the first woman ever elected mayor in the Covington County city.

Bracke beat incumbent Mayor John Bartholomew 56% to 44% in a runoff. Originally, there were seven candidates in this crowded field.

Bracke says Bartholomew has congratulated her and offered his support as she prepares to lead the city.
