Hornets’ punter Vincent snags SWAC Special Teams Player of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (bamastatesports.com) – Alabama State junior punter Trevor Vincent was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday by the conference office for play in week seven.
Vincent, a Youngsville, La. native, did his part to pin the Prairie View A&M offense on the road despite the OT loss.
The junior averaged 41.25 yards per punt with eight punts traveling a distance of 330 yards.
His long punt was 60 yards and two punts landed inside the 20-yard line.
This was the first weekly SWAC award for Vincent.
