Sheriff’s “Spooktacular” Draws Big Crowd

Sheriff Cunningham says the one stop shop creates a safe environment for the whole family on Halloween.

WhilIMG_1952e many kids dressed up and went door-to-door trick or treating Monday night, some opted to stay in one place.

It was the annual Montgomery County Sheriff’s office “Spooktacular.”
It was a held at the Alcazar Shriner’s Temple.
Vendors came from across the community to give out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Sheriff Cunningham says this is a one stop shop that creates a safe and fun environment for the whole family.
“About 2500 kids have been through with the line wrapped around the building. Can you imagine these numbers out in our community? We are telling everybody slow down, be careful, take your time. And enjoy this moment,” said Cunningham.

Sheriff Cunningham recommends parents if you did go door-to-door, make sure you check your children’s candy and make sure it hasn’t been tampered with if you did not know the people that handed out the candy.
