MPD Arrest Sodomy and Rape Suspect

MPD initiated a sexual assault investigation August 6, after receiving a report involving a female juvenile victim. During the course of the investigation, MPD identified an acquaintance of the family, Jovel Reese, 34, as the suspect.

Reese was taken into custody on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and charged with one count each of second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy. Reese was transported to the Montgomery County Detention facility where he was being held under bonds totaling $40,000.
