Operation Santa Claus Kicks Off In Montgomery

The Christmas season started a little early in Montgomery.

Mental Health America kicked off it’s 64th Operation Santa Claus.

The campaign supplies Christmas gifts to hundreds of mentally ill adults throughout the River Region.

Santa was even on hand to help get things started.

For many of these men and women, these are the only gifts they’ll receive all year.

“This is not just another gift. This is a very special gift, a very important gift. It’s a gift of hope, of encouragement, and a gift of love,” said Brittany Wiggins, the group’s executive director.
