Whole Foods prepares for grand-opening

The Whole Foods Market in East Montgomery opens this Thursday.  People in a neighborhood right behind the store have been taking measures to make sure it does not affect their quality of life.

The store hosted sneak-peek tours Sunday and Monday to give shoppers a first look inside.

“See the store, see some of the cool features in the store, meet some of our team members, taste some of our products that we’d be sampling and just have a good time,” explained Store Team-Leader Christopher Gonzalez.

Larry Cornwell has lived in Halcyon Forest for twenty-three years and remembers before the shopping center was even built.

He’s worked closely with developer Jake Aronov every step of the way.

“If any issues come up, and there have been numerous issues,” Cornwell shared, “but he’s been very quick to resolve those issues.”

Some of the issues include lighting, noise and odors from the shopping center.

Whole Foods Market opens Thursday morning at 9 o’clock.
