SCOTUS Nominee a Win for Conservatives
President Trump made good on his campaign promise to nominate a conservative to the Supreme Court. Judge Neil Gorsuch was selected to fill the seat on the Supreme Court left vacated by the late Antonin Scalia.
Political analyst Steve Flowers says it was the best choice.
“If you are a conservative Republican, this is an excellent choice. You are probably real happy. This man is extremely conservative. He’s what Donald Trump promised when he ran for president, so therefore presidential races have consequences. Had Hillary Clinton won, you’d have a liberal judge. He is very conservative, but also has an impeccable academic record,” said Flowers.
Gorsuch will be the youngest justice since Clarence Thomas joined the court in 1991 at age 43.
