Vintage Gala Benefits American Cancer Society
Over 300 people in the area are giving back to the American Cancer Society.
The benefit is part of the Wynlakes Country Club’s Vintage Affair Gala. People attending were able to enjoy wine tasting, a silent auction, and dinner. Money raised goes toward cancer research and local programs that are funded by the American Cancer Society. Coordinators say it’s the biggest fundraiser in the River Region.
“We have a program that provides a free wig to patients that go in treatment, we have a road to recovery program where we give people who need a ride to treatment. We help them with that and we have support groups at the cancer center,” says coordinator Meredith Wills.
Coordinators say they expect to raise over $300,000 from this year’s gala.
